Geometric abstraction (other names - cold abstraction, logical, intellectual or geometric abstraction ) is a form of abstract art based on the use of geometric forms, sometimes, though not always, located outside the illusory space and combined into abstract, abstract compositions. The basis of abstract compositions is the creation of artistic space through a combination of various geometric shapes, colored planes, straight and broken lines.
Geometric abstraction had a significant impact on the formation and development of modern architecture, design, industrial and decorative arts.
