ABOUT THE ARTIST
I was born in Woonsocket, R.I. on March 30, 1948. At six months of age I was abandoned on the doorstep of orphanage. When the orphanage closed a short time later, I was placed in state custody. The state then placed me in a foster home where I was abused and neglected for two years. At three I was unable to stand or walk with out help. In 1951 I was placed with the Wright family where my health improved quickly. They adopted me in 1953 at the age of five.
I attended public schools untill the 10th grade. After leaving school I went to work in a Federal Employment Program called the Neighborhood Youth Corp... In 1970 I received G.E.D. and inrolled in classes at Johnson & Wales College, where I received my associates Degree In Business Administration in 1970.
After college I worked in entry level Management positions untill I was injured in an industrial accident. After three years and nine surgeries, I returned the college at the Community college of R.I.. I inrolled in the Fine Arts Program maintaining an "A" average being placed on the deans list. Because of my high grades I was allowed to take several advanced classes with the art department director.
