Please go to http://angiesart.wordpress.com to view my latest oil paintings, drawings and other works, and also for information about me, news about exhibition schedules and upcoming exhibits, and a list of art works for sale and price guide.
You can visit me in my studio at One Eleven Art, 111 Pennsylvania Ave., Norfolk, VA 23504. I am in my studio every Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. One Eleven Art is also open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays through Saturdays.
If you leave your email address with me I will include you in the mailing list for One Eleven Art. We throw a lot of great parties for exhibit openings in the gallery and also for other community events throughout the year with great food and drinks, great people and of course, great art.
My fellow co-op artists at One Eleven Art are Betsy Rivers-Kennedy, Beverly Furman, and Sheila Robinson. We are an eclectic place and also have two wonderful healers who work out of One Eleven.
I was born in 1952 in Springfield, Missouri and grew up in San Diego, California. I later moved with my family to Colorado where I earned a B.A. in History at the University of Colorado and a M.A. in Library Science at Denver University. I worked as a librarian at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and at the Chesapeake Public Library across the Elizabeth River until I changed careers to a full time mother and homemaker.
Through all of these many years there has always been Art. I took art couses throughout my college years and have worked with other artists where ever I have been and no matter what I happened to be doing. I am a self-taught artist who appreciates that everything I have learned about art is not just built on the shoulders of the great artists, but also born of the interest and support of the many generous artists who have shared their love of art and their passion for making art with me.
