| Bernie Elliott ;;;;; ; Bernie's art is self-taught, with the exception of a couple of life drawing classes in college and standard art classes in high school in the early 1970's. He always was drawing and coloring as a kid and later sketching as a young adult. It was after a military enlistment when he became much more serious about his expressions and what his subjects were. Satisfied with the human anatomy he had studied, he dove into more expression with color and the effect it had on the picture he was working on. Soon, he started using a monochrome palette with his acrylic paintings and liked the outcome he was achieving. Still, he loved watercolors and continued to learn and paint many things in his surroundings. His love for nature, including birds, plants and flowers, and landscapings with wonderful stormy skies. Bernie has now taken an early retirement due to illness' and a progressing eye disease that will leave him blind in a few years. Now, he is driven to his painting and has a clock that is ticking away, to a point he will no longer be able to see anymore or paint. Please take a look at his work and take a few moments to sign his guestbook, as he loves to hear from everyone. He and his family are moving to the Pacific coast town of Ocean Park on the Washington State penesula. There he plans to continue his painting as long as he can. He is also intrested in finding a gallery or two that will display his works there. He keeps the same email addresses so please email him if you can.

Bernard Elliott's Guestbook
ArtsCad Art Critic Elliot is an artist with a deadline: In a few years a progressing eye disease will leave him blind and unable to paint. He is mostly self-taught, with a few classes from high school and college. After a stint in the military, he became much more serious about his subjects, both in form and expression, and added acrylic painting to his repertoire. H.../...
