SUR LE PONT D’AVIGNON Peinture Acrylic sur Toile : 80 x 60 cm By virtue of a childish round, the bridge Saint-Bénézet is probably the most famous monument of medieval Provence. According to legend, it was in 1177 that a young shepherd called Bénézet and said he was sent from God to Avignon to build a bridge over the Rhone. Today there are only 4 arches left on this work of art, which was originally 22 in 1185. At that time the bridge was 920 m out of 4 wide.
