Silvia Mahlmann is an autodidact artist, born in 1962, living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1981 she began sculpture and drawing studies in the atelier of Gabriel Cantilo. She explored diverse technics in drawing, painting, collages, etc., until she finally decided to dedicate exclusively to sculpture. She works in cheramics, mainly with a figurative style, always challenging the limits of the material in various items (hands, erotics, working on concepts of the vacuum). Ocassionally she combines clay with other materials. She has local exhibitions, virtual exhibitions in galleries and many of her works belong to private collections.
