LINE AND SHINE - DIGITAL ART EXHIBITION ;A PIONEER OF ITS KIND AND “FIRST TIME” IN BANGALORE ;1. Exhibition at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Kumarakrupa road, Bangalore: ; Ex Lt Gajanana Vaze is conducting a Digital Art Exhibition-LINE AND SHINE- at Karnataka Chitrakala parishath,Kumarakrupa road,Bangalore. Mr. John Devraj, sculptor and artist of BornFree Art School International will inaugurate the exhibition. Mr.Sridhar. G. Bhide, President, MASS Ltd., Mangalore will be the Chief Guest. The exhibition will be inaugurated on Saturday the 21st January, 2006 at 4.00 PM in the Gallery IV of Chitrakala Parishath and will remain open after inauguration and from 10.00 AM to 7.00 PM from 22nd to 24th January, 2006. Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari, Dharmastala was very much attracted by the digital art creations of this artist and supported him to conduct this exhibition in Bangalore. Point to be noted about this artist is that he hails from a small village called Mundaje in Belthangady taluk of Dakshina Kannada district where there is always improper power supply and other facilities are in very incipient form. Another point to be observed about him is that he didn’t undergo any computer training and has started learning on his own by the help books, journals and internet and that too from July of 2001. ; Digital art Exhibition is being conducted for the First time in Bangalore. Creation of art using computer is not very much in practice in India. But in western countries it has been already established as art form and one can see lot of Digital Art on Art websites. GAJANANA VAZE is not only a digital artist but a specialized Fractal artist. In the recent years Fractal art is gaining much popularity in western countries but there may be very few Fractal artists in India. Viewers can see his many Fractal Art in this exhibition. Mr. Vaze is a photographer also. ;Brief introduction of Ex Lt Gajanana Vaze: – He was Territorial Army officer and has worked as Science teacher in St.thomas High school, Neria, Belthangady, Dakshina Kannada for 21 tears and now took VRS and has come to Bangalore. The August 2002 issue of Times Journal of Photography magazine has published his Digital portfolio. ; “Sudha weekly” published by Deccan Herald group have not only published his portfolio but also put his art on the cover and in few pages in this magazine. In the year 2004, www.eart.ne.jp of Japan had conducted “11th Internet International Art/Photo Contest” an online global contest in which this artist had participated and got 5th place in section “Fine A”. There were 358 contestants from 58 countries. Gajanana Vaze is the only digital artist from India who secured this place in CG section. ;3. Recently “THE WORLD OF ART-THE BEST IN ART AND CREATIVITY” magazine conducted an online Art Hunt to find 100 best Artists on the Globe for the year 2005 and Gajanana Vaze has been selected in this hunt. ;4. www.mangalorean.com has announced : “Mr. Gajanana Vaze: The best Digital Art Creator on the Globe 2005” and published an article about him in their website. ;5. Exhibitions: ;1.”Lens and Sense” exhibition at the time of 3rd All Karnataka Chitpavan ;Sammelana on 27th and 28th Dec, 2003. Almost all the viewers appreciated the artwork exhibited there. ;Smt.
