My name is Fanny Campos Allende, I was born the 10th July 1978 and I live in Santiago, Chile. I studied Drawing and Painting from 1988 to 1994 in the Artistic Experimental School, where I always was one of the best students. I obtained several times the first place in the exhibitions in which I participated. From September 2003 to March 2004 I exported paintings to the USA to PG Production, in Flowery, Miami. From then on I have decided to sell my paintings that way. I am a brand new artist, I mean, I started selling my paintings not long ago, but before that I dedicated myself to only painting, but gave away my paintings, and only painted for my own pleasure, not to sales, neither to expose my work to a large audience. I used to finish a work and there were many people interested in getting it, even when I was a young child. Until a day Angel Paredes, a finder of talents suggested me to sell my works in the United States and Canada, through Ebay, until March 2004. Since my works were sold from the very first month, unlike other artists who can spend months and months without selling their work. I feel much admiration for the classic artists, and always believe that the Renaissance is one of the times that influenced me the most as an artist, due to their appearing again towards the light, after the darkness of the Middle Ages and its considering the human being like a creative, and complete artist. And for that reason I also feel much love for all the arts and sciences, among them music, dance, theater, philosophy, writing, and many more... My favorite artist is Miguel Angel Buonarroti. I've always loved his work, and I believe he's always been an influence for me. There are also some other painters I like very much like the impressionists, who with their pointillism technique managed to do beautiful works, catching moments of people's lives or instants of the day, observing the light, the colorful one and the shades, immortalizing a little moment that will never repeat itself, "the water that runs in a river is never the same one". These painters are Manet and Monet. Their art reflects the history of the humanity from time and space. Concerning more contemporary artists I have always admired Dalí and the surrealists work. I as well always pay attention to the art that exists behind a poster, which guided me during my advertising studies. I also like the classic ones of 1870 ahead, through the Bauhaus, the Belle Époque between World Wars and the hippies in the 70's and all the contemporary art and its psychedelic works. This shows an influence always marked by social crisis of wars, or shall I say "anti-wars". I believe that is obvious to many contemporary artists and I cannot felt outside of all that influence. Mainly now with the war between the United States of America with Iraq. Roberto Matta, the Chilean painter, seems to me to be one of the greatest exponents of our times and I deeply admire his work. I cannot either forget the influence that has the animation these days; I therefore explore the graphic creation with computers. It is really important as far as it seems we are in a kind of era of communications, and technology. Reading and History have made me become very fascinated by the magical art and mythologies that exist throughout the world, and that sometimes are repeated from different people from different cultures. Besides the fact of believing that magic exists and that is within all of us, I think that everything one lives as a person, everything one reads, and all the things that happen in the society, they influence the art that one person creates. I as well believe that the personal experiences of life, special moments that one is living, the many joys as well as sufferings that we face in everyday life, they all influence our art. In fact the capacity to create is something that we take from day to day experience that we are living, as well as the skill that God has given us. This is all like a precious diamond that must be polished, day by day, forever… Exhibitions and Publications "Neruda 100 años 1904 - 2004" Australia, Asociación Cultural de Canberra, by Eva Axis pag 55 "Gran hermano, ¡Naceremos!"
