I was born and raised in the westcountry of the UK, and still live there to this day, I get a lot of inspiration for my paintings from the surrounding area I live. My first inclination that I had the ability to create art came from a teacher at our school, she saw something in my work to convince her that I could sit the GCE examination, for which I did and passed, from there I left school and eventually joined the armed forces and only painted in my spare time, unfortunatly I sustained a disability whilst in the services and had to retire early, my art now is used mainly as a therapy for my disability, which is a great comfort, the style of art that inspires me most is impressionism, and the work of Edward Segal and Wesson.
