I was born in the Holme Valley, West Yorkshire, England, a very beautiful place with big valleys and wild moorland landscape. I always enjoyed the outdoors and later started mountain walking and mountaineering, I like to put my experiences into my paintings, painting mountain scenes and wildlife. As a child I always enjoyed painting and I started to paint with oils at the age of 12, This is my prefered medium, but I also like using water colour, sketching in the wilds and using ink for wash drawings. I studied art at Huddersfield School of Art, Foundation, then went onto Central School of Art for my BA in Fine Art. When I finished Art School I worked for a number of years as a Mural Artist in London. I also studied Architecture for a number of years. I have exhibited my paintings in Yorkshire, London, The Netherlands and Switzerland. |
