ARTISTS' COLLECTIVE EXHIBIT AT THE WATERFRONT HOTEL Lyn Deutsch just concluded a very successful art exhibit at the Waterfront Hotel, Lahug, Cebu, Philippines together with prominent Christian artists Fred & Marivel Galan and Jose Roldan. Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things,” so the verse in Philippians 4:8 says. In my art and in my work, I see the gift that God has graced me with. I have always been an artist at heart. It is in art that God has led me to find depth of meaning. It is as I study His Word that I find inspiration. It is as I express my faith and joy in painting that I seek to applaud the Jesus Christ that I follow and live for. I began to paint and create art pieces using different media over 7 years ago, accepting commissions for murals, backdrops for theater and school plays, and teaching arts and crafts in Christian schools. Twenty years prior, I designed store concepts and created various art and craft pieces, built theme and period-based playhouses, and practiced interior design. I studied B.S. Psychology at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. Passion for creative art, however, urged me to finish Interior Design at the Philippine School of Interior Design. Friends call me “Lyn” but I was born Maria Lourdes Nicol on 11 February 1957. I live with my husband Aino and 6 children in Cebu, Philippines.           [Biography - Lyn Deutsch - 2Ko]
