;I was born and live in beautiful South Africa. ; ;My studio is in a corner of my home in Durban on the East Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal. ; ;I have a passion for bright colours and love to paint just about anything. I plan my paintings with a pencil drawing, most of the time it does not go as planned as I get carried away and just have so much fun, the drawing does give me a good start and the planning gives me confidence ; ;I started painting 8 years ago with no formal training; I have had art teachers and have learnt a great deal. I now go to as many workshops as possible and try to learn all the time by looking at shapes and shadows. I will never stop learning. I paint under the pseudonym of "Jozi" this is my nick name. ; ; ; ;My ambition is for people to recognize my painting and to get as much enjoyment out of my paintings as I do painting them. |
