Ho Ulu=speaks of growth to the community the land and the spirit of both in harmony. The Ho Ulu print shows a Ulu tree (breadfruit) in the center of a family preparing food as a team. There are people of each generation working as one solid unit, not only for survival but also to share in the many joys of working together. The father pounds the ulu into poi (paste) while the son adds waters to increase it's moisture, the mother and daughter gathers the ulu to give to the eldest son who is running the imu (underground oven) to cook before the father can mash it. The Grandmother returns with more water from the mountain stream, as the grandfather shows his grandson the natural cycles that will affect the growth of the ulu trees. It shows a healthy community spirit, and a healthy family structure. Ho Ulu to all!
