"jesus"
Steven Streight
digital painting - 32 Inches x 32 Inches
This is the first of my Microscopic Minimalism<\strong> digital paintings.
The paint brush tool was reduced to the lowest possible size (1).
After the hastily squiggled outline in yellow paint was finished, I magnified the image on my browser so I could execute carefully controlled, tiny fill-ins of purple, blue, brown, and peach colored strokes. These fill-ins were strictly confined within the original yellow outline, without crossing any yellow lines.
In addition to this intricate work (painstakingly produced on the extreme edge of perception, adjacent to the vanishing point), I inscribed the name "JESUS" in one little zone of the image.
When I was done, the completed image appeared to be a sort of face.
My meaning is this: in this dark world, there is a Light that shines, a Divine Human in Heaven who may be discovered and when that happens, another soul is united with the heart of love that secretly governs the universe.

ART TREND: Backlash Against Banality--Buddhists With Bibles   A new trend in art is the return to "imponderables": the investigation of the unknown, the mysterious, the mystical, the immaterial, the theological, the spiritual. Artists and audiences are demanding joy rather than morbidity, visual pleasure rather than optical gloom, hope rather than despair, goodness rather than evil, compassion rather than hat
