I portray the phases of our minds state through intense use of colour and a delicate touch of my brush.

I grew up in Akhtubinsk, which is in the Astrakhan region of Russia. I believe that the bright colours of my native southern influence in my early years are what make me challenge my canvases into ever increasing strength and intensity.

Deciding to leave painting behind I quit my education in art after 4 years, one which gave me a base of traditional techniques, and opted on a professional career in finance. I moved to St. Petersburg where I took my masters degree and started work full time in finance. Living and breathing cultural icons the Hermitage and the Russian Museum it was not possibly to me to resist, so I ended up spending most of my free time studying the craftsmanship of many of the masters showcased there.

When life took me to Oslo in 2005, I was more than ready to again be faithful to my true calling in life; and started painting again.

I enjoy the process of building up different patterns, shaping them into images which sometimes create themselves. I am focused on finding the ideal line which could depict the essence of an object. It seems like an analytical and practical research, mathematical way of measuring.

Like Pier Rua, the French artist who worked in the fantasy realism, initially I do not usually spiritualize my picture. But while working on it or some time after the picture is finished I realise the reason that brought me to start this work and what symbolic meaning it contains. I am not particularly interested in portraying the outside world. With my work I aim at conveying the mental processes and inner states within me.
;;
I find myself to be open and disclose my inner life whole heartedly. I get to know myself better along my life and these personal discoveries I deliver on canvas/paper communicating in my own artistic style.
;;
Sometimes I discover myself through my works. It usually happens when I start a piece and create it on impulse not knowing where it leads me. Such appealing to the unconscious as a source for my art links me to Surrealism and Fantasy Realism. Besides I am significantly inspired by Art Nouvau (Jugendstil), one may find the manner I paint or draw quite similar to this style.
;;
I want to speak to the audience through the beauty of every single line I work on.
