"Art has been a part of my existence since early childhood. Painting is my passion, but as we all know, sometimes life gets in the way. For many years I made my living and my art in photography and darkroom work. Thankfully the digital age rescued me from all of that. For the next 10 years, I designed clothing and costumes for theatre, film and ball"

Art has been a part of my existence since early childhood.  Painting is my passion, but as we all know, sometimes life gets in the way.  For many years I made my living and my art in photography and darkroom work.  Thankfully the digital age rescued me from all of that.  For the next 10 years, I designed clothing and costumes for theatre, film and ballet.  Finally, I  found myself in the fortunate position of pursuing the paint!  Fortunately, I am in the Washington DC area, giving me access to the  educational facilities at the Art League in Alexandria and Gallery 222 in Leesburg. After a lot of classes by excellent teachers,  Kurt Schwarz, Diane Tesler, Michael Francis and others, here I am!   I continually work on my skill, through workshops, plein air painting, and my small blog paintings which I try to accomplish daily, but again, sometimes life gets in the way.  www.coffeeandapainting.com

I have had a lot of opportunity.  My work has been in many juried shows, some group shows, and even a solo show.  I even have a few collectors and awards.   If you are interested, let me know and I'll provide you with details.  Otherwise, I won't bore you.

Thanks for joining me on this part of the journey.   I hope you will keep in touch and see what's next.
You may purchase any of my works from www.glynisberger.com

ARTIST STATEMENT

"Art is not an elitist event. It is something that should be a part of every life, taught to every child and present in every home."
