When I left school I started working for the Receiver and worked there for 15 years. In November of 2008 I decided that there must be something more to live and resigned. I have always been very artistic and decided I will try my hand at painting African wildlife. Did my first serious effort in 2008 for my husband after he saw somthing that he liked in a friends house and asked me to make him a copy - not sure who the artist is - two leopards with some guinifowl.
After that I painted a Kudu for my father as that is his favorate animal. It didn't turn out to bad and I decided that I could maybe make a career out of painting and it is something I enjpy doing.
Also I need to add that if it wasn't for my husband who is very supportive and the main reason for my decision I would probably never have put myself out there. I had my first exibition in Dinokeng, a Big 5 game reserve just outside Pretoria and my nerves was shot and maybe I expected to much but on the brighter side, I enjoyed a wonderful day in the great outdoors with my family.
All my paintings are issued with an Authenticity Certificate explaining my signature as well as a photo and details of the painting.
