Origins Born in France in Saint-Mihiel (Meuse), Alain Cucuat comes from a modest hearth whose father, during his leisures, skilfully worked iron in his forging mill. Bathing in this creative universe, he thought to develop early his tastes for the visual arts. · Centers of interests Taste pronounced for the image, its direction and the emotion which it must suggest, to evoke. · Formation Some first training courses in visual arts and history of arts enable him to look further into its knowledge of works of large Masters. Others, directed towards the old and recent practices, gently make evolve/move his stylistic research. Impassioned by the image in all its forms, he moves then towards the photograph that it practise for his pleasure: framing, composition, harmony of the colors are always required there. Attracted later by the movement, he is tested with the video. To supplement its needs, he is registered with formations improving his technical assets before completely directing (of the writing of the scenario to the final assembly) the realization of a small fiction. Under his responsibility, a photo novel with a group of teenagers will also be born. Realized with the assistance of National Education, these various projects contributed to the enrichment of the creative universe of many children. · Meetings 1964: Daniel-Pierre Vassart, professor of art and artist-painter, appreciate his originality. 1980: Claude Becq, painter with the re-elected watercolours, encourages it to continue his work. 1994: Jean-François Husson, creator of stained glasses, make him discover the art of glass. 1995: Jean-Robert IPOUSTEGUY sculptor, of passage to Dun-sur-Meuse, mischievous declares it direct "competitor"... in this small city! |
