| Marco was born in the UK in 1969 and soon developed an interest in the world of art. Having completed his studies he moved to Paris for nine years where he spent his time teaching English as a foreign language, translating and interpreting in addition to furthering his artistic talent.
He is presently based in Scotland although he frequently returns to Malta and France and it is in these three axes that he is currently focusing his attention with regards to exhibitions. ;Much of last year was not a particularly creative period for the artist as he had to spend alot of time and energy helping out a friend in great distress in the United Kingdom although he did manage to produce a few pieces of work along the way and managed to set up a solo exhibition in Scotland which was very well attended and saw him leaving his mark on the local scene.Upon his return to Malta this spring Marco channeled all of his energy into coming back in a dynamic way on the local scene and this has been a very successful period with a good number of exhibitions all over the island and his participation in the reputed Malta International Arts Biennale.Further to this he has just returned from a very successful promotion campaign in Moscow , where he did two exhibition launches with a view to returning in the autumn for a new launch. His international attention will now be focused on the UK where he will soon be spending a few months preparing his new creations for a new exhibition there in the coming months.Another thing which is very much a priority for him is the Malta Israeli arts festival which he is currently planning with two good Israeli promoters. So as to better promote a more positive and balanced image of contemporary Israel Marco has invited a good number of Israeli painters and photographers to participate in the very first exhibition of Israeli art in Malta and this is to take place in May, after which Marco would very much like to stage his own exhibition in Israel and is currently looking for offers of venues for next year Marco B |
