Leonard is a retired Delta, B.C. teacher. He moved to Vancouver over 35 years ago from Winnipeg and raised his family here. As a teenager he received private art lessons from a local artist and in high school attended weekly art classes at the University of Manitoba. Over the years he has continued to take many different art classes and adapt his style accordingly. His hobbies include qigong, toastmasters, and of course, his passion, watercolor and acrylic painting. Leonard has always been intrigued by these mediums because of the magical way water and color transform the canvas. The whole creative process and the energy that goes into each painting differ, and as a result each experience is unique; this is something that Leonard loves being an artist. His interest in subject matter varies widely from landscapes, to Westcoast boating scenes, abstracts, and florals, and he loves to play with different styles. His wish is that you enjoy his art as much as he does in giving form to it. |
