I have been been practicing professional art for more two decades, starting with abstract painting and for the past almost ten years focusing mainly on photography.
I studied graphic design at the Israel Institute of Technology (the Technion) during 1988-1990 as well as traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy, at the Taipei Fine Art Museum (1994-5).
My photographic artwork reflects much of my personal style, a unique point of view on the surrounding - mostly the people and their behavior, work, and feelings.. All with an abstract touch and feel, paining art through the camera lens...
Starting in the early Nineties, I spent almost 10 years living in Asia - starting with Katmandu (1991-1994), moving to Taipei (1994-1996), and later on to the metropolis of Shanghai (2001-2005), with my work being enriched by the culture, art, spirit, people and colors of each one the different and unique places, integrating Asian motives with abstract style, portraying the connection between east and west.
In recent years, my paintings and photographs have been exhibited in about fifty solo and group exhibitions in Paris, London, Vancouver & Montreal, Vienna, Shanghai, Cluj , as well as Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, and other cities in Israel, with a number of them can be found in private collections around the world, including Israel, UK, China, USA, Switzerland, and Malaysia. |
