Rita Dianni-Kaleel's studies began in 1976 with private lessons at The Carol Cameron studio, continuing with the Drisi Studio Of Fine Art, Gerald Merfeld of the Brookwood Studio and Koh- Varilla Guild. She continues to learn from life experiences expanding her perspectives, which bring forth new ways of seeing. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions for many years and is in coroporate and private collections. She has spent the last several years building a body of work based on contemporary times and continues to make art using traditional techniques, but in today's world. Art Statement: My reason for doing art is to visualize the intangible threads that unite us using abstraction at a means of connection. I am inspired by the beauty in nature , not only the exterior, but that which exists within. The line of gold leaf in much of my work represents the value of life and our link to the future. |
