The village of Ghoufi is located on the edge of the national road, on the north cliff.
Overlooking the oasis, the balconies of Ghoufi, carved in cascades in the rock, have attracted the man who has built houses today uninhabited from 4 centuries. At the turn of each balcony is a village in the middle of which a taqliath is erected (a multi-storey building with a number of rooms equal to the number of families, serving the warehouse of harvests and provisions). The villages hung on the cliff side were called Hitesla, Idharène, Ath Mimoune, Ath Yahia, Ath Mansour or Taouriret3.
