The war print shows the many implements of traditional hawaiian warfare. In the middle is an Ali'i or cheif, with Aha ula or cape and mahi ole or crown, also bound with a malo around the waist. Below him is a lei-o-mano or shark tooth tearing device, used to rip tendons and vital spots on the body. To his right or our left is a Pahoa or dagger used peirce vital organs. To his left or our right is an Akua po'o mask used in ceremony to end the season of war and begin the seaon of peace. To his upper right or our left is a stone headed Newa or club to the his upper left (our right) is a niho oki, or hawaiian brass knuckles. At the top is the Akua of war, Ku Ka Ili Moku and center is a ho ai lona or heavenly sign of cheifly presence. Chief are thought to facilitate for the Gods, or be mini versions of them.
