Kanoa Aikala-Nelson is a Native Practitioner of Traditional Hawaiian Culture, and is evolving the art form in to contemporary expressions with an unbroken link to Hawaii's original art forms.

Kanoa became a professional artist in 1997, selling his block prints and scupltures at various art shows and well respected Hawaiian gift shops. Such as The Bishop Museum, Mission House, Native Hawaiian Book Store, as well as other stores along the North shore.

Kanoa's artistic trainning came under Kahuna Kalai Alapa'i Hanapi. Since the nine year mentorship under Hanapi Kanoa has evolved into the Hawaiian community as a Teacher, Mentor for the youth programs and Schools, as well as advocate for Native & Local community issues.

Kanoa is previously working with Campbell High School and Hale Kipa youth advocates. Kanoa has worked as an instructor at Wind ward Community College as well, teaching the tradition of wood carving and the protocals, legends and life styles that go with them.

Now Kanoa has Started a buiness called Mo'olelo Designz to support the community needs of fund raising and promoting their clubs, groups, and purpose. Wether Hula, Canoe, or Community Club, they all recieve the benifits of Mo'olelo Designz extensive experience in Traditional Hawaiian Culture.
