I was born in Malta, but returned to the UK and spent my formative years in ;Somerset where I met and married my husband. ; ;Our working and family lives mean that I have travelled and lived all over ;England and for a little while in Wales. Four years ago we took the decision ;to move back to the West Country and be roots led rather than career dictated. ;This has meant some sacrifices, but so did the nomadic work led life we had before and the benefits are huge. ; ; ;I live and paint in an idyllic setting in a hamlet on the edge of Dartmoor, a ;National Park in the South West of England. I look out over a farming community that changes with the seasons and never fails to be an inspiration. I don't often paint the scenes from my window but the inspiration leads to other creativity. ; ; ;I love experimenting with paint combined with textures, reflective materials, found objects, but I use conventional supports, framed canvases or cotton covered board. Although I do series of some of my paintings, I am too impatient and adventurous to be tied into a particular style. ; ; ;I try to ensure that my work where possible is ready to hang when it arrives with my customer.
